Cambodia

Hi,
Wow, I haven't posted for a really long time. For some reason my computer wasn't allowing me to upload anything.

This year at school really hasn't been great. My life is filled with work, work and more work and very little time for photography.

In December, I traveled to Cambodia. An amazing place that I will definitely return to within the next few years. It was a place filled with unlimited photographic opportunities and an tragic history.
These are only some of the photographs that I took. They were taken with a Nikon F100 and a 28 and 50mm. They were shot with Ilford Delta and Tri-X.

These are not very good scans, but I guess they are something. I have almost finished printing up the better of the photographs and I will try and get those posted as soon as I can.

1st in Fujifim National Schools Competition

Hi,
Just to let everyone know that I came 1st in the monochrome print section for the Fujifilm National Schools Competition. I won a really nice Pentax D *ist- but I am still sticking with classic, old school black and white film- nothing beats it!!!

The winning photograph was of Jerry- the best and only portrait I have ever taken.

New Photographs from July Holiday

Hi everyone,
These photographs were taking mainly at Phinda Game Reserve, about a 6 hour drive from Johannesburg.
All the prints were printed in the darkroom on Ilford Multigrade Warmtone Fiber Paper, which is the reason for there brown colouration.
Sadly the images have been cropped quite a bit- the reason for this is because I have scanned the prints using an A4 scanner, which isnt large enough for my 11X14 prints.

I have been really busy- so I havent updated my blog for quite a while, but hopefully you will like some of my new work.
Most of it was taken in the December Holidays but some of them were also taken in early January.
I really enjoyed printing them in the darkroom and I cant wait till my next holidays to get some more shots.
